Welcome to Our New Families! As we’ve all adjusted to a new school year, we are excited to be joined by 11 new students! Each year, new students and families add their gifts and talents to our school community. They have been welcomed into our classrooms and added to our HEART groups. HEART groups were developed for the purpose of: Helping Everyone Attain Respect and Tolerance. This multi-grade program utilizes our 7th and 8th grade leadership skills as they work with teachers and their fellow HEART groups on school projects, service, faith opportunities, and time getting to know each others. Thanksgiving will give our HEART groups time to work on turkey baskets that will include Thanksgiving dinner ingredients for families who need assistance in our local community. These HEART groups will be working throughout the year on the Fruits of the Spirit as the students share their talents with others in school and those beyond our community
Student Council Leads the Way Students from Student Council will begin collecting gently used coats for the Griffin Center. These coats can be brought to school and left in bins for distribution at the Griffin Center. Please check your closets for any possible donated items!
Grade 2 Bake Sale Success With the help of many parent “bakers”, the 2nd grade had a successful bake sale during lunch time. They have used time discussing the Fruits of the Spirit and will be working toward donating their profits to those organizations and social service causes. Their theme is "Helping Hands."
Important Information We encourage parents to take advantage of the scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences that are scheduled for November. Either the teacher will ask for a conference or the parent can request a conference. Working together on educational issues establishes an improved academic success.
Drills In light of the recent tornado warnings, I would like to remind parents that we will quickly update our new web page with current information regarding dismissals or contact information. Please refer to this web page for the latest information. We will continue to develop this website.
Accreditation The faculty continues to work on our accreditation plan. The school had a preliminary evaluation on the eight (8) standards that must be met for the Diocese and the State of Ohio. We were found to be in compliance and will continue to work on goals for school improvement.
